2019 July 19 to August 04. For the first time, a gathering of children took place in our small Estonia as part of the Brave Kids educational and cultural programme. The programme in Estonia took place under the auspices of UNESCO. Joint activities of children from five countries were planned under the program, unfortunately the children from three countries arrived, but it was nice anyway and the whole program was carried out.. For the initiative, children from all the countries that have arrived will perform with the scheme created in their home country. There were then different workshops over two weeks, with children from each country teaching their customs, dances and songs to the other children who had arrived. To conclude the BK programme, the children performed a joint event prepared together during their time at the Wetland Folk Festival on 03.08.2019. Children had to come to meet our local children From Morocco, Burjatia, Poland and About Ukraine. 6-8 children were expected from each country. In fact, Moroccan children did not receive visas and the Burjatian leader fell ill, 7 children from Ukraine and 6 children from Poland and 6 children from Estonia participated.
During these two weeks, the accommodation of the children took place at the local families, during the working days the children met themselves while studying and teaching others as part of the workshops. The weekends, however, are designed to rest and carry out fun events.
In February, representatives of the main organizer met with the project organizers on our side in Wetland, and a joint workshop with local children was also held.
To accommodate our guests, we were looking for families in and around Wetland (hostfamily). It was desirable that the family would be able to accommodate two children, for their part ensuring the catering of children during the outside of the workshops and the necessary transport throughout the period. We found the families we needed. Many thanks to all the hosts!
Brave Kids 2019 To be held in wetland has put its shoulder in addition to the main organizer of BK Song of the GoatTheatre, also a Polish young man Jan Olinskiwho is helpful with both strength and counsel.
